We have just released new versions of all Manta Checker products. There are several new features that extend their usability and increase user experience.
The first feature satisfies those who want to use Manta Checker for more Informatica PowerCenter repositories at one time. Now, it is possible to add a connection configuration to another repository in the same application instance, and then add a new scenario that connects to it. Furthermore, an admin can now restrict launching a scenario only to specific user roles, so it is possible that developers can check only workflows from a testing repository, but not from the production one.
SecurityRoles
If you use Manta Checker regularly, you will find helpful, that it is possible to sort and filter the list of your reports. You can try this feature also in our demo; just type a part of any report attributes’ value to the search bar in the form. Another feature that you can check in the demo is the possibility to upload workflows and scripts in one zip archive.
Do you want to know who is responsible for a rule specification? Or, do you want to assign every scenario run to an item in your issue tracking system? In this version, it is possible to add custom attributes to all rules, categories, severities that are visible for users in edit forms. Moreover, an application administrator can add new attributes that can be filled by users before a scenario is launched. These attributes are then visible in a report.
If you have already checked the demo, you can note information about financial support from TA ČR. What does it mean? It means that we have got a support for cooperation with the Czech Technical University that helps us with incorporation of present theoretical knowledge to our products. What advantages does it have for you as a customer?

  • First, we are developing a new metadata repository based on graph databases and new visualization of dataflows to our Manta Flow product.
  • Second, we are searching for a stronger and easier definition of rules in Manta Checker.
  • Finally, we are improving our SQL parsers, especially that for Oracle.

And the best news about this cooperation for you is that all these improvements will be available during this year.
If you want to know what is planned for the next release, you can look forward the next blog post.
