About six months ago, we expanded to the US. Now it’s time to cash in on the effort.
And we will start with our first US customer, Comcast, the largest broadcasting and cable company in the world. We are always ready to serve the biggest enterprises out there, and we are thrilled to start with Comcast.
We’ve provided Comcast with MANTA, our data lineage visualization tool, for Teradata with extended XConnect capabilities.
“When we first arrived in San Francisco this past April with an ambitious plan to start a business there, we had three goals – to learn about the market, to confront it with our value proposition, and to build the core of our sales operations for the United States,” says Tomas Kratky, our CEO. “After a few weeks we saw enormous potential – a huge market, advanced enough to understand the value of proper data management practices and the importance of metadata. Now, after six months, I am more than happy to say we hired a great VP of Sales who helped us acquire the first two huge US customers very quickly. And this is just the beginning of our journey. We look forward to seeing what’s yet to come.”
This great news caught us just after we successfully started doing business in Germany – when the biggest European DIY store OBI bought MANTA for Teradata about a month ago.
